The Downtown Greenway is
located at the corner of Washington Street and Clay Street. Formerly the Ritz Theatre
site, the building was razed and a beautification project undertaken by the Parks and
Recreation Department.Utilizing the
original rock base as a border, the green space includes a number of shrub and flower
plantings and a winding sidewalk through the corner lot. It is overlooked by a
traditional wall mural on an adjacent building.
Beautification on the site is done with the
assistance of the Chillicothe Garden Club.
